FAQ
The essentials on how NimCore® Women works. If you don’t see your question, your clinician can answer it during your consult.
Getting started
You start with a short assessment about your health, history, and goals. A licensed clinician reviews your answers and labs and — if a program is appropriate — builds a plan and, where indicated, issues a prescription through Lake Hills Pharmacy, our in-house compounding pharmacy. Care continues with ongoing clinical support, and any medication ships directly to you. There is no obligation to continue.
Start with the short assessment. Your clinician reviews your answers and labs and recommends whether a program fits — and which one. Some paths may call for additional review. There is no obligation to continue, and your clinician is the right person to talk through whether it suits your situation.
Most members go from sign-up to their first personalized plan in roughly two weeks: a short assessment, your labs, and a video consult with your clinician. Timing can vary depending on lab scheduling and your clinician’s review.
Licensed clinicians focused on women’s hormone and metabolic health, supported by Nimbus Healthcare’s own pharmacy. Your clinician reviews your assessment and labs, sets your plan, and adjusts it over time.
Treatment & medication
GLP-1 receptor agonists are medications that mimic a hormone your body naturally produces after eating. They help regulate blood sugar and appetite, and have been studied for metabolic health. Whether a GLP-1 — or any medication — is appropriate for you is a decision your clinician makes based on your history and labs.
Your clinician builds your plan from your own labs, history, and goals — not an average — and adjusts it over time as your body responds. Programs differ in what they focus on, and your clinician determines which one fits based on your assessment and labs.
Your lab panel is included in your membership. You can use Quest Diagnostics or an at-home blood draw — your choice — and there is no separate lab fee. Your clinician uses your results to shape and update your plan.
It varies by person and by program, and individual results vary. Your clinician sets expectations for your specific plan during your consult and adjusts as your body responds. We don’t make outcome guarantees.
Safety & side effects
A licensed clinician reviews your history and labs before any plan, and may recommend additional review for some paths. Safety depends on your individual health, so any specifics — including potential side effects and interactions — are something to discuss with your clinician. See our Safety & Eligibility page for how we approach this.
Any medication can have side effects, and they vary from person to person. Your clinician will review what to watch for given your plan and history, and is available if anything comes up. Always raise questions or concerns about how you’re feeling with your clinician.
Eligibility is determined by your clinician based on your assessment and labs — not by a checkbox. Some health histories may not be a fit, or may need additional review before a plan. Completing the assessment is the way to find out whether a program is right for you.
Billing & subscriptions
Your membership is $125/month, and covers your labs (up to 3 per year), physician visits, and ongoing clinical support — including wearable-informed dose titration and our technology platform. Prescribed medications are billed separately at member-only rates. There are no hidden fees.
No — prescribed medications are billed separately at member-only rates, when your clinician determines a medication is appropriate. Your membership covers your labs, visits, and ongoing clinical support.
Yes — you can cancel anytime, and canceling is easy. Membership is what keeps your care team, labs, and visits active. If your membership ends, we keep a 30-day continuity window that can cover one eligible remaining fill per medication class, then we hold program fills. Your prescription typically stays valid for up to one year from the date written — a membership hold doesn’t cancel it — and you can ask us to transfer it to another pharmacy anytime through Messages.
Pharmacy & shipping
When your clinician prescribes a medication, it’s dispensed through Lake Hills Pharmacy, Nimbus Healthcare’s in-house compounding pharmacy, and ships directly to you. Keeping the pharmacy in-house lets your care team coordinate closely on your plan.
Any prescribed medication ships directly to the address on your account. Your care team can walk you through timing and what to expect, and you can reach out through the platform if you have questions about a shipment.
Educational information, not medical advice. Eligibility and any prescribed therapy are determined by your clinician based on your assessment and labs. Results may vary.
